Dr Jules O’Dwyer, a Research Fellow in Film Studies at St John’s College, has recently joined the editorial collective of world picture, where he will be working alongside Centre director Prof. John David Rhodes and scholars based at Brown University and the University of Toronto. He first got involved with the journal and its annual conference during his graduate studies and has played a key role in the relaunch of the journal’s website this past month.

He writes: “I am delighted to become an editor of world picture, an open-access journal that is renowned for its cutting-edge work in critical theory, cultural studies, and the visual arts. I got to know many inspiring scholars through my earlier involvement with the journal and its annual conference. In this new role, I look forward to discovering the work of emerging scholars in the field.”

Dr O’Dwyer is currently programming the upcoming conference which will be held in Berlin this November, in partnership with the Institute for Cultural Inquiry. A link to the journal’s latest issue can be found here.
