The documentary media journal World Records has published a new issue, “Generations”, co-edited by Dr. Stefan Tarnowski and Dr. Kareem Estefan. Centering on Syrian cinema since the 2011 revolution, in particular the organisation Bidayyat for Audiovisual Arts (through a dossier edited by Tarnowski), the volume examines a range of documentary practices in the region, asking, “How do generations engage in political struggle together, even as their horizons diverge?”
