I am Assistant Professor in the Department of History of Art, Curator, contemporary programmes at Kettle’s Yard and a Fellow of Newnham College. My work focuses on contemporary art and moving image, particularly in relation to feminism, race, trans studies and sexuality. My interests primarily lie in artist film from the 1960s to the contemporary moment, as well as the creative and collaborative contexts in which artists make moving image. My research in this area has been published in edited collections such as Sue Clayton and Laura Mulvey’s Other Cinemas: Politics, Culture and Experimental Film in the 1970s (Bloomsbury, 2021 [2nd ed.]), in journals such as MIRAJ and in my monograph Women Artists Together. I also curate artists’ moving image in my role as curator at Kettle’s Yard.
