Kenny Monrose is an affiliated researcher within the Department of Sociology at the University of Cambridge, Tutor and Fellow at Wolfson College, and urban ethnographer. He is the author of Black Men in Britain: An Ethnographic Portrait of the Post-Windrush Generation, published by Routledge (2019). His current work focuses on the manner in which Afro-descendant music impels cultural confluence in coastal spaces, and how the aesthetic of blackness via the medium of film has transformed British culture.
