Yaron Peleg is Kennedy-Leigh Professor of Modern Hebrew Studies at the University of Cambridge. He has published numerous articles on Israeli cinema relating to gender, ethnicity, nationality and socio-economics. Other cinema publications include a co-edited anthology of articles on contemporary Israeli cinema, Identities in Motion (2011), with an updated version of new articles due to come out in 2023 from University of Texas Press, and the monograph, Directed by God: Jewishness in Contemporary Israeli Film and Television (2016).
